Markets and Betting Types

When you bet with this operator, you can expect a wide variety of betting options available across thousands of events. All told, there are over 10,000 betting options available that cross over 34 sports. For football, by far the biggest market in the sports betting world, there are a wide variety of options, going into the thousands, going over events such as the Premier League, FA Cup, Championship, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and much, much more. For tennis bettors, there is an equally lucrative amount of events, with markets available on WTA and ATP matches, the Olympics, the Challenger Cup and the French Open. In addition to these sports, they offer bets on sports as diverse as golf, darts, floorball, Gaelic sports, handball, pesapallo, surfing and trotting. Basically, if you can think of a sport, they probably have odds available for it. To get the full overview, take a look at the table we have created for you below.

Grosvenor Offers

The bread and butter of any online betting site is the welcome offer. This company understands this, leading to a well-performing welcome promotion that rewards any viewer who uses the site. Basically put, the Grosvenor welcome bonus doubles the odds when you make your first bet with the site. On any sport, with any bet and on any odds, get a 100% odds boost on your first bet, up to £10 and get paid back, if you win, in cash. This is a great incentive for first-time bettors and is unique for the industry. Do note you have 60 days to claim this promotion.

It is not with the welcome bonus alone that they have made their name so quickly. Grosvenor offers a ridiculous amount of promotions that you can claim every single week. Whether its price boosts or enhanced accas, the site like to make sure that you have extra value when betting on certain events. In addition, they have a weekly promotion for horses that could net the bettor around £1000 on selected races. With value like this, there is no reason not to miss out! When betting with this operator, we would recommend that you keep your eyes peeled. That way you will never miss a thing.

Assessing the Odds

App

There is nothing as important as odds. When you are about to place a bet, you should always be asking yourself: am I getting the best possible value I can for this? When you use this bookmaker for your betting needs, you will be pleasantly surprised by just how good the Grosvenor odds levels here are. All in all, the average odds levels across most sports is around 92.45%, putting them up in the higher echelons of online betting. Their biggest sport is football, and the very high odds levels reflect that – coming in between 93.01 – 94.66%. Tennis is equally very high, with odds between 92.70 – 95.90%. Nevertheless, if you want really high odds levels, then their cricket selection simply cannot be beaten. With odds between 94.01 – 95.82%, the cricket offerings are simply insane. To get the overview for the rest of the sports, take a look at the table below.

Mobile Betting

Mobile betting is essential for any seasoned bettor, offering the punter the opportunity to place bets while on the go. Its really an easy thing for the punter to do, if they have the right app! Sadly for users of the Grosvenor sports page, there isn’t any fully optimised app yet available for the page, which is something that we find a great shame because most operators do have one. Therefore, if you do want a bookmaker with a mobile app, and that is understandable, please check out our Coral review now! It isn’t all doom and gloom when it comes to the Grosvenor mobile experience. This is because, while there is no app, you can still visit the bookmaker in your mobile browser – basically making it equate to the exact same thing. The upside of this is that it will not take up any space on your phone – unlike a mobile app!

Grosvenor In-Play Betting and Live Streaming

Nothing beats the thrill of in-play betting! Being able to bet on an event while it is taking place is a rush that cannot be matched. If you are a user of the Grosvenor in-play betting sportsbook, you will be able to bet on a large series of events as they are in process. From football to tennis to basketball to ice hockey and more, there is something here for everyone. Coupled with the ability to cash out games while they are taking place and the ability to see live graphic representations of the game, making them really come to life, there is little to be disappointed about here. Nevertheless, there is something that can irk the most devoted fans: the fact that there is no live streaming. This is a shame as live streaming has slowly become an essential component of any live betting experience. This is something we are sure that they will introduce in the future.

Payment Methods

When you are looking to bet online, make sure to pick a bookmaker that has a wide array of payment methods. Only then will you be able to ensure absolute freedom when making deposits and withdrawals. The site supports a wide variety of payment methods, therefore ensuring its place as one of the finest bookmakers around. Traditional payment methods, such as Visa card, MasterCard and Maestro are all accepted, as well as e-wallets such as PayPal, Neteller an Skrill. Additionally, for people who like to pay in cash, it is worth using a paysafecard. It is worth mentioning here that when you make a deposit with paysafecard, all your transactions will go through instantly. As for withdrawals, they usually take around 2 to 5 days to process if you use a card, while taking just 1 to 2 days if you use an e-wallet. The minimum amount you can deposit is £10.

When you start betting with the site, its worth knowing that the amount you want to bet in a given day is completely adjustable by you. Do also notice that the amount you withdraw can be changed by the discretion of the bookmaker – so your keep your eyes peeled for that.

Safety and Security

Grosvenor Betting App

When you are betting online, always make sure that you are doing it safely. Without being safe there is a real danger that your money can be hacked into. Therefore, you should only use bookmakers we recommend. Grosvenor are a great example of this as they are fully secure – using very strong encryption to make sure that you, and only you, are available to access your money at any given time. They will never share your personal details with anyone else.

  • Complete Sportsbook Selection
  • Great Odds Levels
  • Simple to Use

As a bookmaker, its important for this site to implement ethical procedures to make sure everything is done correctly. That is why they have teamed up with GambleAware to help fight against important issues such as gambling addiction. In addition, they are partnered with the highly respected Independent Betting Adjudication Service that can be appealed to in cases of dispute with the bookmaker. Also note that you can contact the bookmaker through a variety of methods 24/7.

Info About the Company

After reading so much about the betting service at Grosvenor, now its time to learn a little about the company itself. It all started back in 1970, with the introduction of their first physical casino. From establishing themselves as a major player, with over 55 casinos in the UK alone, Grosvenor were in a very good position to start their online casino in the 00s. Then in more recent years, they started their own sportsbook which has slowly grown into one of the best in the game. They have their own office in the UK, making them one of the few bookmakers that aren’t registered abroad somewhere like Malta or Gibraltar. They employ over 6000 employees and have over 1.7 million online players, making them one of the biggest companies around. They are owned by the Rank Group – a larger online gambling conglomerate – and can be found on the London Stock Exchange.

They employ very strict Know Your Customer rules, which requires the punter to send over some form of ID – driving license or passport – in order to counteract both underage gambling and money laundering. Its this dedication to customer safety that has really put them up there with the very best bookmakers.

A Simply Brilliant Sportsbook

Now it is time to come to the end of our Grosvenor review, and with it a few passing notes. After taking a long look at what the sportsbook offers, we can say with all certainty that there is a lot to recommend here. From the very extensive sportsbook to the excellent in-play service, sports bettors will be surprised at just how well this operator has made the transition from gambling to betting. Furthermore, the odds levels are very good, and the payment methods are perfectly serviceable. There is little to dislike here. Admittedly, we were a little frustrated by the fact that there is no mobile betting and no live streaming either, but this is more than made up for by the amazing welcome bonus that comes with signing up for an account. If you believe that this is the correct bookmaker for you to start or continue your betting adventure, then why don’t you just go right on and sign up for an account already?

Grosvenor Casinos are a well known brand in the UK, with real world casinos in many major UK cities. They’ve now made the decision to try to take on the online gambling market. It hasn’t gone well!

Our Rating: (1.1 / 5)

In this Grosvenor Casino review, I’ll reveal some of the issues I had while playing online here, and one serious breach of their license which landed them a substantial fine.

You’ll also learn why the app isn’t worth downloading, and the alternatives which you should look at instead. There isn’t one thing that these guys do that one of their competitors doesn’t do much, much better. Let’s start by looking at some of those better options, then I’ll move on and deal with the bonus.

Alternatives to Grosvenor Casino

If you haven’t already seen our pick of the best casino apps, then that’s a great place to start. If you’re in a hurry, here are a couple of suggestions. These are top rated, UK licensed online casinos which are much better than Grosvenor so I strongly recommend you play at one of these instead.

Welcome Bonus

Grosvenor Casino Welcome Bonus

Normally when you join a new online or mobile casino, you can look forward to a decent sized welcome bonus to get you started. Usually it’s a nice big first deposit bonus, maybe some free spins as well, something like that. At least some sort of offering to make it worth your while spending two minutes filling out the form.

The new player bonus at Grosvenor Casino is a lousy £20. Yes you read that right. It’s not a typo, I didn’t miss any digits out. A measly 20 quid, with a 5x turnover. It’s simply not worth your time bothering with this. If that’s what these guys think of their new players, you can only begin to imagine how generous they are with their existing ones.

This really sucks in my opinion. But it’s not the only reason I’m not recommending you play here.

Key Features

There’s no denying that Grosvenor Casino is a famous brand and a name that a lot of people know, especially in the UK. However, I find that a lot of high street betting brands, when they choose to take their product online, just don’t make any effort at all.

It’s as if they’re just relying on their brand name and they think that because people know the brand, they’ll sign up even when the product they’re offering is inferior. We’ve seen the same thing happen with brands like Ladbrokes and Betfred, and now Grosvenor have fallen into the same trap.

These guys need a wake up call. The competition online is completely different. Players have a genuine choice online and they don’t have to settle for second rate service just because there’s nowhere else to go.

So key points – well, you’ve heard of them. But unfortunately, that’s as far as I can go. Whatever type of player you are, whatever you’re looking for in a mobile casino, somewhere else will be doing it much, much better than Grosvenor.

Website Design / Ease of Use

In fairness, the responsive Grosvenor Casino mobile website isn’t terrible. It isn’t perfect either though. On the face of it, the appearance is OK, but half of the navigation menu disappears on the small screen and there’s no obvious way to access it. This means you effectively lose access to half the site.

Also, the text on the game icons is really tiny. So unless you have a magnifying glass, you can’t tell what the icons are actually for. The only way to find out is to physically click each one. It’s a horrible user experience.

The app is similar in terms of the display, but with the added drawback that it runs SO SLOWLY on Android that it’s often completely unusable.

Software

In fairness they do feature games from a fair variety of software providers, including big names like Playtech and NetEnt.

Choice of Games

The game selection is a little below average. They do have online slots, table games, live dealers. The basics are covered. It’s just that they have fewer games than many of their competitors.

The range of slots, in particular, isn’t extensive. They’re also hard to navigate on the small screen, so even if they did have a better range, you’d have a hard time searching through them.

If you’re looking for a really good place to play online blackjack, you should look elsewhere – Grosvenor just doesn’t excel in its choice or quality of games on mobile.

Grosvenor betting app download

So again if it’s variety you want, there are other online casinos that offer a far bigger game selection.

Banking – Deposit/Withdrawal Options

Grosvenor Casino accepts Debit Card, Credit Card, PaySafe and PayPal online and on mobile. That’s your lot, so there is not much choice in terms of payment options at Grosvenor.

Withdrawal times are 1-3 working days for cards (which is average) and 24 hours for PayPal (which is quite slow compared to most other sites).

They also offer bank transfer withdrawals which take 1-5 working days.

Safety and Security

Grosvenor Casino have a current license from the UKGC and also from Alderney Gaming Commission.

The UK license record shows that in 2018, Rank Digital (who own Grosvenor Casino) were fined £500,000 for failing to comply with three provisions of the license in relation to a problem gambler. The action states:

Grosvenor Betting App Login

During an investigation, the Commission found that the licensee failed to interact with a customer who was displaying problematic behaviour, contacted him during a self-exclusion period and did not follow rules for the provision of credit. The failures relate to a customer who gambled substantial amounts with the licensee’s land-based Grosvenor Casino and online.

You can see details about this on their license here.

This isn’t good. It looks like a reasonably serious failure in their duty of care towards a problem gambler, which doesn’t sit well with me at all.

Customer Service/Support

You can contact support via phone, e-mail or live chat. There is also an FAQ section on their site. While it’s fairly difficult to navigate, you can find the answers to most of the common questions if you look hard enough.

I tried the live chat and was connected in a couple of minutes. I asked a couple of deliberately “newbie” type questions, and was directed to the relevant FAQ answers.

Grosvenor Betting App Game

I would have preferred a bespoke answer which would have made me feel more valued as a player, but I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here as it may have been a busy period. So overall, this was fair enough.

Allowed Countries

Only players from the UK and Ireland are accepted.

Currencies

You can play in GBP or Euros.

Verdict

Seriously guys, don’t join this casino and don’t download the Grosvenor App. You can do better, and there are lots of options out there. So do yourself a favour. Check out some of our other reviews and play somewhere else.
